A DECISION ABOUT NON-CREEKER PARTICIPATION

Thanks to everyone who responded on the blog and Facebook or through private messages! Your feelings about non-Creekers participating on Trading Post were varied, as are mine, and people on both sides brought up some good things to consider. I was going to respond to specific points people mentioned, but decided to just say I've gone from leaning one way to leaning the other ... then bouncing back and forth a couple more times.

Anyway, here's what the plan is. Former Creekers may continue using the Trading Post. As it is, for the last several months I've left up the existing posts of people who I knew had changed churches. I just hadn't (to my knowledge, anyway) received requests for new posts from people who aren't at Athey anymore.

I do, however, have one request for former Creekers. Please let me know you are no longer at Athey when you send me information for a post. I will include that info in your post, which will allow the Creekers who feel more comfortable with and/or prefer the convenience of making trades at church to continue doing so.

If this works, then I'll let it be. If it creates problems of any sort (and please let me know if it does), then I'll reconsider my decision.
